Athena Baltimore is a spectacular self-disciplined young heroine that has an amazing propensity for independence. 

She was raised from early childhood in an isolated Wing Chun temple located in rural China.  Athena was sent there as a safety precaution after the mysterious assassination of her mother who was an astrophysicist working for the US Government. Her mother unknowingly unlocked the highly secretive location of an ancient alien pyramid, The Element, located within the Arctic Circle.

A diabolical antagonistic group known as ONYX has an ambition to conquer the world by using the advanced alien technology that was discovered within The Element. 

ONYX organized an extremely clever heist and successfully stole a piece of the alien technology that had been held in safekeeping since World War II by a secret English society known as the “Golden Dawn.”

Athena’s true existence is only known by the mastermind of the “Shadow Brokers,” a protagonist group organized to protect the secrets contained within The Element. 

ONYX used the alien technology to uncover the clandestine ways of the “Shadow Brokers” and has crippled their organization. In an effort to fight back, the “Shadow Brokers” have prematurely summoned Athena from her training facility.
